Hey guys, I'm in the city right now and guess what, the hostel which I'm staying they have computer so I can come online anytime!

I felt so upset when I got into the bus this morning after saying goodbye to Cathy and Sam. From the moment I knew that, I'm not ready to go home. I'm definitely gonna come back again.

Feeling lucky again to meet Janice and her cousin after I arrived at the city. I have got them to carry my luggage bags from 42nd St till 48th St. Janice brought me to an Italian restaurant and the meal was yummy. It was really nice meeting her.

Well, first day in the city was great, just that I'm feeling a little lonely but screw it! My dream has finally came true! Anyway, its safe to walk in the city because cops are everywhere. The city is really beautiful, love the lights love the BLING BLING on the advertisement from the giant tv screen, love the crowds, love New York City!

It was cold and I was lazy so I figured to go back to the hostel and come online. Then, I passed by the humongous Regal Cinema and I asked myself, why not catch a movie instead of sitting in front of the monitor for the night with nothing to blog about? So, I decided to watch BENJAMIN BUTTON, it was a great but sad movie but its alright because I was feeling sad at that moment.

Then, I walked around and snapped some pictures of great night view of the city. I passed by the Broadway and then I told myself that I must watch at least one of the popular Broadway shows, either Chicago or Phantom of Opera. What do you guys think?

Back to the hostel, they made me moved to another block which is at 49th St, but not to worry I'm safe. According to them the 48th St was run by another people and they have some rent issues (I don't know what exactly their issue was, as long as I get to stay that's matter!). And gosh! I have to share the room with another 5 girls, but so far there's only an Israeli girl. She was sharing her one year work and travel experience in the States but basically she worked everywhere and she gave me the direction to go to the place I was supposed to wait for the city tour to start tomorrow. Oops, I forgot her name. Gotta find out by tonight. lolz.

Woodbury Shopping Heaven

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

I believe I have received the biggest present for this year i.e. my life. I nearly got killed by the Avalanche raft at work today. Can you imagine? I know it sounds ridiculous. Believe me, it's scary if you experienced it like I did just now.

I was on duty at the bottom of the tower and the raft machine was not functioning, so I called my supervisor, David to help and we thought we fix it as it went okay after that. Then, all of a sudden we heard the crowd on top of the tower were shouting very loudly, I looked up and all I could see is a flying raft coming towards me and my supervisor's direction and I quickly ran. I didn't even have enough time to think and asked him to run together. He was sitting down there without realizing what was going on and the raft landed right in front of him. Swt.

He stunt for a few seconds and he was like saying Oh My God. We simply cannot believe this could happened!I'm glad both of us are all right and I can still go home see my mama and papa.

So here I am, sitting in Camelia's room using her laptop. Everybody is dressing up to hang out with the Brazilian guys staying nearby. Many people asked me out but I simply prefer to stay in because the only place I would like to go during New Year eve is the New York Times Square. Well guess what, I did witness the countdown for 2009 at Times Square! Through the television was touching enough with all my Brazilians buddies, hugging each other and watching them crying. I can tell they are missing home very much, but not me because I know I'm going home soon. I would love to stay longer if I can but hey, wake up. I need to wake up from my dream soon.

That's about my story from new year's eve to new year. I know I would never gonna forget about this first new year eve in America. I hope everybody has a memorable new year eve too.

Dear all,

I can't use my computer anymore because its spoiled. I'm so sad and I only have myself to blame, for my stupidity.

Last night I accidently spilled some water on the keyboard and it hang for awhile and auto shut off. Then I tried to turn it on and all I see is a black screen with no sound at all. I'm so upset right now. :(

Should I get a comp here? or only when Im back home. I really feel like slapping myself, how could I...so dumb.

Dont know what to say anymore, I'm using Mick's computer now he's getting pissed off I guess I better get outta his room. Bye.

It was my first time celebrate REAL Christmas in the United States! It has been my dreams since I was small! Christmas tree, winter cold, snow, presents, turkey, the gathering... But, not with my family, as we're not Christians...

The Christmas celebration at Sam's dad's was more like a Chinese New Year celebration back home, probably because most of us are Chinese. Anyway, I had a great time. :)

This is the first Christmas present I received for this Christmas, from my best American friend, Cathy. I really didn't expect a Coach for Christmas. Haha.

It's time to talk about food. :) I have no idea what this call, but it taste good. Baked by Joe's wife and she's Malaysian, and I found out that she used to stay in Sentul! What a small world!
Here are some famous Grandma old fashioned pies, you have to queue for long time to get it. Just like crazy selling donuts in Malaysia.

Its another year I missed one of my favorite festival. I love tang yuan festival yet I always don't get to celebrate with my family and eat the tang yuan.

Been very busy lately because its Christmas week. Heading to Target soon, work at 7am. Didn't really get enough rest. I think to myself, should I work like that?

I really miss home...But I'm staying strong. Now that I have more close friends in the States, I'm happy that they like me because I like them too. :) Probably there's the reason can keep me staying here. I wanna have fun, not just work. I do enjoy working...But I just get so tired.

It was a busy day today doing all the calling and bookings for my NYC trip. I got my hostel booking done and one of the tour in NYC done too. What's left of the rest are the booking for transportation and another shopping tour to Woodbury (highly recommended by my Aunt Irene). Just so you know, I'm going to NYC all by myself. It's my very first time to travel so far, and alone. I don't know what to say but I guess I'm better off this way.

Well, I thought I have plenty of time for the day because my work at the water park starts at 4pm. And...I was wrong! I was still rushing myself eating and ran to work at 3.45pm. The snow is getting thicker day by day... Luckily I have my boots on, but still its hard to walk on the snow. Btw, Cathy got me a really good deal for the boots and she even gave me a $10 coupon for buying it. :)

Working at the Water park for 5 hours was like 5 years to me. Time passes really slow for work today I don't know why. Nick asked me to stand at the orange slide (the spot where water splash directly) and rotation supposed to be done but I have stood there for like 2 hours, nobody's coming to take over and my body was all wet. Moving to the next spot didn't help much because I'm already wet and it was freaking cold when the wind blew on me. What a job.

Then, I met a new workmate and we were rotated at the same spot. He's new to me though he has been working at the water park for 9 years, I have seen him around some times but never really spoke to him before. So, this time we get to know each other as there are no guest coming to our spot. He has a strong Mexican accent and sometimes it's really hard to catch what he said. He's a fire fighter and a nice person, he taught me a lot of things about lifeguarding and he even offered me and my Brazilian friends back to Martha's. The funny thing is, I forgot to check or ask for his name after a long chat with him while he kept mentioning my name when he talked to me. Feel so ashamed now.

Nick told me to go for the lifeguard training tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be working from 8.30am till 1.15pm. Training would be from 4pm till 10pm, unpaid. Should I go? or not?

Today is my second day working at Target. I was trained as a cashier during my first day but today I worked at the Pizza Hut. :)

I like it better at the Pizza Hut because I'm dealing with food! The only challenge is that I'm not quite familiar with their menu yet and also their cash register is obviously a little different from the Target store's cash register. Was quite hectic but my supervisor, Bethany said I did a great job as a new trainee. Sometimes I failed to catch certain of their terms and they speak really soft which I don't understand why. Don't all Americans speak loud?

I'm so thankful I got Sam picked me up to work and then Cathy came picked me back from work. :) You guys should look at the snow around me, it's almost impossible to walk to work, plus I don't have a boots yet! Without their help I think I would have given up this Target job. Cathy and I did grocery shopping for a little while after work then we headed to the French Common Outlet again because Cathy can't resist the temptation of Coach. But after taking a second look of the bag, she decided not to buy because the quality is not as good. It was like a signal to tell her not to buy the bag. I found something nice but I'm not gonna buy it. My next TARGET would be a LV. I had Dunkin' for my dinner, love the maple frost & Dunkin' Coffee. Love their tag: American runs on Dunkin' :)

Collected my first paycheck from Target I laughed, it is just a USD30. Gotta head to bank later to bank in the check. As for now, I'm kinda enjoying myself alone in the room listening to Missy Elliot. Generally, today is a good day! :)

P.S. Mama & Papa, do not worry about me because I'm lucky enough to have nice people around to help me with things. I'm going home soon and I can't wait to go home! I miss you both!

Ordinary day

Can't believe I'm watching this movie in America right now. The Guardian (acted by Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner), one of my most favorite movie all the while. Such a best combination and I would never get bored watching it over and over again.

As usual I worked at the water park today and my toes got hit by the surfing board. Thanks to the stupid dumb dumb guest, if not for his arrogance I would not have get another injury from work. My toe was bleeding non stop for awhile. I was asked to go to the first aid and file a report about my injury. Guess what, the first aid supervisor saw all my bruises over my legs and he shaken his head and asked me what did I do to myself. I really have no idea, I guess I'm just too clumsy.

Too many things to worry about lately but let's see how it goes. Can't do much at the moment though. I'm gonna spend my night watching this wonderful movie and get a good rest.

P.S. I got my Thanksgiving week paycheck today. I'm very happy now. At least there's something to be happy about. Peace out.

Here's something to blog about my rent collector. He has great sense of humor, he swear all the times, giving everyone nicknames which you never heard people using them before.

I love one of his favorite way of calling people, "POP TART". It's a brand of snack you only see here in America, but it's not tasty. His way of whistling is one of his trademark, a lot of internationals would bring this whistling skills back to their country when they are done with the program, I'm a pro too. :) "Sweeeet" and "Sweetness" are also his favorite quotes.

The following pictures were taken when we went to the banks at Glens Falls to help my Brazilian friend, Babara to cash her traveler check. We ran from one bank to another and none of the banks at Glens Falls accept the check. I wonder why and you can see Mick was really pissed off. But, you find him laughing or smiling in most of the pictures because I did the great job to make him laugh. He just can't get mad at things for too long. All he needs to do is to swear and curse, then he'll be fine.

Mick is a smart, quick, and funny person. He loves telling his story. We call him daddy too because he treats us like his sons and daughters, he really take good care of us and he got mad when we hang out without telling him where we are going.

I love his cooking very much. When he cook for us, he make sure we do not touch the dishes and he won't eat together. He said:"Have you seen the cook in the restaurant eat together with the guest before?" That's Mick, always tell us lame jokes which came out by himself. I laugh not because his jokes are funny, but he's the one who is funny.

Clumsy Drama Queen

Definition of drama queen: somebody who likes to make a drama out of a situation by acting in an emotional way.

So I know what's a drama queen okay? lol. What I meant is I have becoming addicted to HK drama again. It makes me feel more like home when watching it. Haha...

As clumsy as always, I cut my finger with scissors. -.-
I worked only for an hour today. We were not supposed to go to work today but we insisted to go. Penny wasn't very happy with us going to work, she said it might sound heartless for her to ask us not to go to work, but she needs the hours. If we were to work today and Friday, she can't work next week as the park have allocate some budgets for employees. She said that she has family to support, and I told her we have ourselves to support, like our rental and stuff.

Still, I made a decision to come back because I don't want to pissed her off and I'm trying to preserve our good friendship.

Anyway, I'm so happy Kevin has officially invited us to his party this Saturday night and Penny offered to send us there. He said his house is located at the mountain, so we'll be seeing a lot of snows and I should prepare to wear thicker clothes.

I'm so looking forward now. Hope to know more people and have some fun. :)

So, the park has officially closed. I'm thankful that we're called back to clean up the park.

Oh well, I forgot to blog about the outing at Johny Rockets last night. I have ordered the chicken breast sandwich and it's really yummy. Oh, I have ordered a hot chocolate too. And I'll definitely go back to Johny Rocket and must remember to make use my 35% employee discount which I forgot last night. Luckily I'm not the one who paid for it. Haha...

Chicken breast sandwich ($7.99), half of it was my dinner last night and another half for today's breakfast.
Art work done by the waitress...Nothing much for the day, just clean clean clean and clean.

Then, I went to the Aviation mall, and bought my jacket which I have been dreaming about everyday...Yay!

Farewell to Great Escape Park, my dear workmates & supervisors...

Its my last day working at the 'opened' theme park. I have been feeling so upset about it closing and now I have to accept the fact that the day has to come.

I became more upset when I was told to go back to Beer Garden, after two weeks of being transferred to Character Cafe. I was so so so unhappy, how could they switch me back in the very last day as I have adapted and worked so well with the people at the Character Cafe??? According to one of the supervisors, I was told to go back to Beer Garden because there's something that I know how to do which Abigail doesn't know. I doubt so.

So I complained, to Penny, Fay, and to everyone and telling them I ain't going back to Beer Garden on my very last day. Not that I hate Charity, just that I prefer my last day to be at Character Cafe. There are so many people to meet on my last day, as we're serving both the employees and guests at Character Cafe. This is how I know more people. And finally, I got to stay at Character Cafe and I was so glad that I did. I enjoyed every single second of my last day there.

Today is the actual Halloween. Everybody is so not liking to work, including myself.

At first I thought it would be fun to work at the park since it's Halloween there should be many people come to the park. Surprisingly, the park was very quiet...Where are the people? I started to get bored when there is nothing much to do for the day. The most quiet day of all the days I worked so far.

I was supposed to hang out with Aaron to watch Max Payne but he called it off at the very last minute. I guess I would never get to watch Max Payne as Abigail doesn't like it. Two more days the park is gonna closed. Life would be so boring.
Things I had today:
Free American breakfast (Its FREE as they wanna get rid of the inventory)

Work life balance (Wednesday)

I have been working so hard everyday so I hang out with my room mate to relax ourselves. So, we walked to the Aviation Mall for checking if there's new winter boots but we ended up window-shopped other things.

I'mma getting this jacket, sorry mama. Carmen-san, this is no Abercrombie & Fitch (too expensive for me) but I find this is a nicer one as it shows the curve of ur body and warm enough. Haha.. :)
Merely trying, for fun. I like it. And I bought the sweater for $12.99.
We had dinner at the Wendy's, before I found my new love. Here's my order set. This soda is the small soda, it looks like a medium to me.

Spicy chicken wrap, taste like Kentucky. Not bad until I found...
After dinner, we walked to Price Rite and didn't really like it. Things are cheaper than Wal*Mart, but its so much far away and smaller. I still prefer Wal*Mart.

Then Abigail wanted to go in ToysRus so badly. I accompanied her for awhile.
I found this section is interesting. I want my PSP!
It was so cold tonight we ran into Wal*Mart to warm ourselves. Then, we decided to shop some groceries, in fact my room mate bought too many heavy stuff. I was so excited that we met Uncle Sam at Wal* Mart but I did not hope for him to offer to send us back and in fact he did not bring his car today. He jogs!

Still, I would say lucky star is always on our side, he offered to walk us home by carrying my room mate's stuff. We had a great time chatting while walking in the cold. It was really nice of him. When we reached our dorm, my room mate gave him the pumpkin ice cream which we took from Martha's, I was thinking oh no...He has to carry stuff walking back again. I hope he loves the ice cream though.

What-a-day

I supposed I have enough sleep today. It's the rain that makes me feel so lazy whole day. I dragged myself up from my bed and prepared myself to work as usual. On the way rushing to the lodge, I heard the siren coming and I looked up I saw the smoke came out from the Great Escape Park. OMG, the park was on fire!

Abigail & I continued to rushed to work and then we came to know that the water park was not open today. So, we checked out schedule and it said we have no hours for the week! Carter! How can you be so cruel to us? I spoke to Carter and he said the water park is not gonna open for many hours but everything's gonna back to normal next week. Still, we have to wait for the new schedule. There's no way to hit more than 50 hours already. I hate you!

We walked to the theme park and tried to find out what happened but we were not allowed to enter. However, our main objective was not being busybody but to find the HR supervisor to talk over our problems. :( Will see what we can do for tomorrow.

It has been raining since the morning till now. -.- We have no choice but to stay at the dorm. I could actually go out if I want but I decided to take a good rest today, and it was so boring, to sit down all day long. Then, I started to look for FOOD!

I made myself a Swiss mist hot chocolate. It was so nice to enjoy a hot chocolate in such a cold weather. I simply enjoyed and appreciate every single sip of the drink.

Looks like I bought it from somewhere, right? The hot chocolate itself is FOC!
I actually 'took' it from the park after we're done with the inventory yesterday. Muahahaha...
Maple fudge on apple given by Marie...I cut off and the maple fudge to save for later ;)
And this is my dinner....I gotta get rid of the soon-expired stuff. Burp~~I'm so darn full!
I have been sitting in front of my computer for so many hours. It's time to go to do some reading on my bed. Night everyone. *kiss*

Oh, btw I just found out how serious my thigh was hurt because I fell down and knocked on something yesterday. So clumsy right? Time to slim down (as if I can).

I was supposed to go back to the Beer Garden which I don't wish to. Penny told me I gotta move to Beer Garden this noon, I refused to but Penny said she has no right to decide whether I can stay. The only way would be me talking to Marie and guess what! I have got Marie to replace me with someone else! Haha...

I enjoyed working at the Character Cafe. With Fay, Penny, Nit, Chris, Bill, and the rest..are really fun! So many mistakes to EAT, so many employees I can see, and I get to choose when to take my break with whoever I like.

I had a great day today. Working at the park is always more fun than at the boring lodge. Gosh, how am I gonna spend my winter at the lodge?

Yay! Sook Mun & Gan came to the lodge for training today!

Welcome to the lodge! Yay! It's gonna be more fun with them together but I have just changed my work shift to night shift for these two weeks because I wanna work at the park in the morning, then continue to work at the lodge till evening. And I will be back to the normal shift once the theme park is closed.

Oh no the theme park is closing. I'm gonna miss the day I work at the park. I had so much joy & fun!

I'm getting lazy to blog, I'm so tired after work everyday. I guess everyone reading here can tell because I tend to reserved and blog lesser nowadays. I have no more time to snap pictures and write any longer blog, but still I'm having fun. :)

Backstage tomorrow

I foresee a World War between the Fay & Charity tomorrow.

The up line have made the Character Cafe (the new backstage) open for both outsiders & employees. Everybody is making noise about no more privacy for employees during their 45 minutes break time.

Fay sees that it's gonna be a very busy day tomorrow since they have made things more complicated. She asked me, "do you wanna come work with me tomorrow?" I was in dilemma because I kinda like it at the Beer Garden but working at the backstage is gonna be a new experience for me.

Well, I did not answer her and I asked whether Miss workmate wants to work with Fay since last week she said she wanted to change a working environment which she can have a break from me. At the same time, Fay was complaining to Marie that she need any of us and she's not gonna care about Charity. Penny then took out a coin and tossed, head for me, tail for Abigail. The conclusion is ME working with Fay. So, Miss workmate's dream has finally came true because she's no longer need to work with me and she gets to stay at the Beer Garden.

So, I'm gonna work at the backstage with Fay tomorrow. I've told Charity about this when we saw her on the way back to our dorm. She wasn't happy about it and she said: "They better replace someone who knows what they are doing". She must be real pissed off I think.

I have work out the pros and cons working at the Beer Garden versus Backstage, would I be better off working with Fay or Charity?

Backstage
Pros:
-get to meet or know all employees
-get to serve guests too
-maybe Fay is kind enough to let me have the leftover
-flexible break time
-Fay is so strict that I don't think I get to drink soda (less fat)

Cons:
-Fay is a very serious & strict when it comes to work
-I'm not sure whether its nice to work with Fay
-no talking/playing with employees
-working with people who looks boring (not sure)
-foods are not as nice as Beer Garden's
-no more taking nice leftover for Gan & Sook Mun, and myself :(
-can be boring sometimes
-might get lesser hours than at Beer Garden

In fact Fay treat me not bad, she invited me along to the donut session with Marie & Penny today.

Beer Garden
Pros:
-Alex is there, my closest fun workmate
-I like serving there
-The working environment is fun & pleasant
-busy day is what I like it here
-Delicious leftover
-Eat as you want
-I like working with Charity
-more hours as Charity is more hardworking

-too much flexibility on eating & drinking (fat!)

Goodbye Mcvities

I have been saving it for a month and finished it bit by bit and today is the day I finished them all. Gonna get it when I get back HOME. Well, you guys should really give it a try. It might not be your world's greatest, but this biscuits did rock my world! It goes so fine with MILO, COFFEE, or even just PLAIN WATER! Go get it, MALAYSIANS!

Things getting better working at the lodge, I find it not so bored anymore as I get to fit in to the group of LIFEGUARDS, isn't it cool to be part of them? Haha...

To pamper myself tonight, I had a wonderful dinner. I know it's kinda unhealthy, but...you just gotta pamper yourself once in a while....and this time I have add some special ingredients..Watkin's Chili Powder!

Hohoho..Nice right? I just wanna finish the chicken & hot dog as they're gonna expired soon. Egg is a must for every maggie meal! Yay! I started to love cooking now!

Things will never be the same again

I have a kind of mixed feeling. HK trip is getting near to me. I wish and don't wish to go so fast. I wish to see my family and people I wanna see, but I don't wish to end my once in a life time journey so fast. So dilemma.

Now the 4 of us are planning the trip to NYC in November, if possible I wanna join Gan & Sook Mun to LA, to Disneyland too. Its gonna cost a lot and I'm not sure whether what I earn here can cover the travel expenses. But then again, it's a once in a life time thing, I wish I can make it.

Even if I can come again in future. The feeling wouldn't be the same again, things will never be the same again too.

Life Guarding

One of my friend asked me, what do I do as a LIFEGUARD at the water park? Like any other lifeguards, we are responsible for overseeing the safety of the guests from the moment they step into the water park. Three simple words, GUARDING PEOPLE'S LIFE.

Anyway, I'm more like a ATTENDANT as I'm not a qualified strong swimmers, not well trained and certified in water rescue (which I don't think I can handle), first aid (it's a regret I don't learn from my brother), CPR etc...

I was very excited about my first day of lifeguard training and it doesn't take me long to feel bored in there because it's a weekday, you don't expect the crowd to be there. So, the trainer, Carter threw us a manual to read and showed us the attractions around the water park. After that, we were told to attend the guests at least 10 times at each attraction.

Too bad I couldn't take any nice picture of the water park, but I have found this video which I think it will shows the place better. Click this!

Columbus Day (Monday)

I have been working very busily 3 days in a row because the park was opened this Monday. According to one of my close workmate, the second Monday in October was celebrated as the Columbus day, so I asked him what are they celebrating about? He said he has no idea.

Never mind, I can always check it by myself.

According to the Wikipedia, the Columbus day is all about honoring "Christopher Columbus, traditional discoverer of the Americas. In some areas it is also a celebration of Italian culture and heritage. (traditionally October 12); celebrated as American Indian Heritage Day and Fraternal Day in Alabama; celebrated as Native American Day in South Dakota. In Hawaii, it is celebrated as Discoverer's Day, though is not an official state holiday".

So, how was my Columbus day? I have been very busy and had a little problem with one of my workmates. But in the end we sort of talked to each other and solved things out. I'm happy she eventually made her effort to open to me in the end and asked for my forgiveness. I do appreciate that because she has the courage to admit mistakes and take the initiative to talk things over.

I hope things get better after this, for another few more months, I just wanna enjoy as much as possible. Let's work it out!

p/s: Oh, I met these two new friends while I was helping Fay at the new Backstage this morning, Douglas & Tavares, they are really friendly! I shall take a picture with them soon!

And sorry for not blogging about Sunday after reserving but Monday because I sort of forgot what's special on Sunday...Nothing special though...

Busiest day so far

I have never done that many dishes in my entire life...Mountains of trays & dishes...I mean I don't mind doing it but they are really killing my hands...

I consider today is the busiest day, so far...The business was too good until we found out we were running out of chicken tenders and fries! I wish I could snap a photo of the super long guest queue, they kept coming in until we have no time to grab a bite of the unwanted food and there's only me & Terrance, a new 20 year old workmate I met today. He's a fast learner and we work perfectly fine together...sometimes me alone at the front while he get the stocks from the back, or the other way round...that's how we handle it :)

A lot of things went wrong today and again, my supervisor Charity thought I was the one who screwed things up (as usual even though it wasn't me). Thanks to Terrance, he helped me and backed me up by telling the TRUTH. Charity was yelling at me in front of the guests and she felt embarrassed for many times when she found out everything she thought I did wrong, was RIGHT! Anyway, I still think Charity is not a bad person. She's just take things too seriously, most of the time I would say.

I had lunch with Marie today, and I asked her how many kids she has. She has 3 from first marriage, 2 from second marriage and 2 adopted CHINESE LOOKING daughters. Why did I bother to ask about the kids? Because I met her with one of her Chinese looking daughter the other day at the Wal*Mart, and I wondered whether her husband is an Asian.

Lunch with Marie, I had a hamburger & a medium coke ($1.99)...

As we chat along Fay joined in. She asked whether I could help to get her two Halloween Party tickets for her grandchildren, as every employees get their ticket for free and are allowed to bring 3 extra friends ($4 each). So I did it for her immediately as I'm efficient and she was so happy and thanked me many times, she said I need not use my break time to get her the tickets but another day, I just don't mind.

By the way, this is the current condition of my neck...Itchy!And...how am I gonna walk tomorrow? Sigh...

Lucky enough

I got stung by a bee this afternoon at work. As you can see, I'm still blogging meaning I'm still alive and...don't worry mama & papa...I'm all right now...

The place I work usually surrounded by a lot of bees, grasshoppers etc...Simply because of the sweetness of the cotton candy & soda drinks...I have thought about getting sting but never bother to find out about the bee sting remedies as I thought I won't be that LUCKY.

And LUCKY enough I'm not allergic to bee sting...If I am, I should probably dead by now. Abigail ran around and informed all the supervisors and it took about 30 minutes for them to reach me. They took a good look at me...Oh ya...So which part of my body got stung? You guys must be wondering WHERE? WHERE? WHERE?

LUCKY enough, it's my NECK where the notti bee stung!

My supervisors were worried and after they took a look at my neck, they knew I'm not the allergic type, so...I'm all right. Penny applied some dirt and later on with ice to make the inflammation go down and for it to stop hurting me so badly...:(

Penny told me 2 years back she got stung by a bee too, her foot turned blue and she kept vomiting and she was hospitalized after that...She nearly die and that's why she said I'm lucky.

They asked me to take a good rest, and I asked Abigail to snap some photos for me...She really took it RANDOMLY...-.-

I was still smiling even though I'm in pain!
Supervisors then laughed at me, they gave me that kind of look saying that they BEH TAHAN...Under this kind of situation, why am I still bothering to take pictures? Because I wanna show you all mah...
This experience has taught me well that there are many more things in life which I must learn...You guys should learn too what to do after stung by a bee? There are 100 bee sting remedies (click) according to the website.

Don't worry everyone, I'm all right now. Will be more careful and avoid bees especially during my cotton candy Friday...

Just take my advice:

Great News!

JW has got a second job under the same employer but working at different place, which is the Great Escape Lodge Waterpark, as a lifeguard. :)

This is how the water park looks like and the lifeguard uniform would be white t (with lifeguard logo & word) & a red short pants. I like it!

Cool huh...

Anyway, there's a condition working under the same employer as they don't wish to pay overtime. They only allowed me to work for 40 hours a week for the two jobs they offered, though the legal maximum hours is 50 hours per week. Guess I need a third job too.

Well, today I had a great time at work too. The supervisors are getting friendly and I think because they appreciate us, hardworking Asians. Haha....They just have to sit down shaking their legs, have their Dunkin' Donuts.

And I actually spent 6 hours to wash the Dippin dots, cleaned the whole BANK...Now my whole body aching...

That's all for lunch? A green apple? NO WAY! It's just a starter...Haha...I had Ham, mustard & two slice of whole-meal bread...I love this green apple so much...It's sweet & sour & crunchy, but now what's left in the apple bag is all red apples...
Came back & rest awhile...Abigail suggested to go for Subway as rewarding ourselves working so hard today. Sounds fair, and we picked this foot long spicy italy...goes with the Italian bread...and it's not as good as the meatball foot long we tried the other day...which I wanted to order again...Well, since we're sharing, I can't be so selfish right? So next time, I must pick the meatball!

After dinner, we walked around at the Wal*Mart (opposite Subway) to check out what's new, on promotion & things that we didn't notice when we were always rushing for our grocery shopping...

This set of seasoning looks grand...I'mma get the chili powder because it smells so good...Should goes well with my instant noodles...Muahahaha... Chocolate, by Starbucks..I love Starbucks! But it's expensive...

Haagen Dazz choc ($1)
Arrrr....I know it's FAT...I'm just preparing for the winter. As for the Haagen-Dazz, I just wanna try...But I'm leaving it in the fridge, not having for tonight because I had enough calories for the day...

p/s: my mama called me this morning complained I bought too many things already. Okay, may be I don't post too many things that I have bought or buy lesser or don't buy at all? Haha.... There's nothing much to buy FOR NOW anyway...Don't worry mama, I did save too...

I tried this Halloween tee ($5) and I like it very much..I didn't get it at first because I thought it was $10 and I'm getting the Sex & the City Tee...But then, the $5 gift card actually gave me this FREE tee! Muahahaha....

Believe me, I'm brilliant!

I worked for another 9 hours even the park closed at 8p.m today, Haha...I talked to the head supervisor last night and requested for working earlier and I was allowed to go at 10.30a.m. :)

I was almost late again due to some reasons, people just don't learn the importance of punctuality but what can I say? Lucky enough that I wasn't late today.

So I got into BEER GARDEN with the help of Roy, another supervisor for food department (also the self-claimed Clay Aiken). He's a fun guy and he can actually sing! I needed him to open the door for me because Charity wasn't there yet. And I got myself something to do before Charity arrived.

Preparing the food is a typical thing to do during the weekends and I like it very much. From preparing to serving, I'm happy with everything! Especially when I get to eat the leftover, muahaha...

I forgot to take a picture of the carved turkey I made last night, and it looks and taste real good. But, things aren't always perfect as it seems. There are 3 customers who ordered the carved turkey on roll complained to Charity because the gravy was served cold. I didn't know it was cold as I wasn't THE ONE who prepared the gravy and did not turn on the switch to heat it up.

I had serious gastric today because I think I missed the proper eating time. I went for my lunch break at 3.45p.m and I had my packed sandwich & fruits. :) I saw my supervisors but I choose to sit alone because I wanted a time to be totally alone, then Alex and Phil came to sit with me but that's fine with me.

I'm so upset when Abigail told me when my supervisor asked where I went while I was doing the dishes at the back, Justin answered that I went outside somewhere and he did not know what I was doing. And he's the one who asked me to do the dishes. I'll make sure I do something to him next week if I see him back in BEER GARDEN again... And, I'm the one helping all of them to earn the hours while they were so happily standing outside discussing about tattoos! I hate tattoos! Hate lazy American boi like Justin!

Anyway, I had 1/2 of hamburger without the bun, 1/2 of the chicken strips, 1/2 of German potato salad and 1/4 of peanut butter cake for my dinner, for FREE! Yay!

One of my colleagues showed me her tattoos...It looks like socks though and I don't understand why some people like her can get so crazy. Yet, she said she did this for her kids. =.=
I didn't want to take a break as I have been eating Beer Garden's food all day. Muahaha...But my supervisor, Charity said it's compulsory to take a 45mins break whenever you work more than 6 hours.

So, I took a walk around the Theme Park. I met some friends and chit chat with them. I enjoyed very much by just watching the kids playing and running around, everyone is having fun with their family, boys hanging out at the park to meet pretty girls, and couples kissing and hugging each other, how lovely...

I had my dinner from the Beer Garden, a hamburger & potato salad... and it's free! :)
Today was the very first time I worked for the maximum 9 hours and managed to cover my rental with my work effort today, yay! I had a great chat with Charity today, she has becoming more friendly than before, she even told us where to find a good and cheap boots to prepare for winter. I wonder why everyone in the park hates her, she ain't a bad person after all.

And I'm so exhausted right now...I scratched my right hand when I was preparing the carved turkey for tomorrow. Ouch!Tomorrow I will be working at 1030a.m. Hopefully I can get hours just like today. Do not worry because I will be walking home with Abigail and the street lights are on along the way from my workplace back to my dorm.

And...I took 20 minutes to finish this ice cream. One more thing is I was eating the ice-cream in the super cold weather, walking and the wind blew...So cold...I will never eat ice cream during winter again. Haha....

Besides all the fun and joy, here's something which is not so fun, in fact not fun at all. I'd been walking around and helping to throw the garbage. Sounds easy but it's heavy.

The garbage was so heavy and I gotta move them few rounds with rain water in the big cart, worst of all the cart got stinks up and we emptied the cart by throwing the wet and stinky rubbish into different labeled recycling bins. Yakssss...I salute to the DBKL!

Sunday morning thank God it's not raining...

I walked to Wal*Mart to bank in my paycheck, bought some stuff & had my breakfast @ McD...

Sausage Mcmuffin with egg, 2 for $3 but I got it 3 for $3. How come? It's because...They gave me sausage mcmuffin without egg and when I asked to change only for one burger, they gave me two brand new. Nice huh? But...I guess I won't be eating mcD breakfast anytime soon. Haha...I know it's FAT!

12pm worked at the BEER GARDEN, a place which I started to have some fun today. :) I started to get close to other employees a.k.a. the kids here, and I think my supervisors like me too. Muahahaha...I'm just hardworking.

Employees are not supposed to use their cell phone in view of the guests but here's something happened in front of me and I can't help it that I must take a picture of it. But of course, I asked their permission whether I could take a picture of them.

It was raining in the evening, the park was about to closed. There was this 'pretty' family (oh, the dad looks hot! haha...) They came in not for food, but for some plastic bags to cover their kids from the rain. So we got them the garbage bag and here's what he did.

Early morning webcam with mama for about 1 1/2 hours, can't believe we talked for so long. Haha...I have found my target of life...I'll try my best if I can, okay?

Then, Gan told me that his supervisors came and informed that Sook Mun & him do not need to work today as the park is closed. But, there's no one inform me and Gan's supervisors did not tell him to inform us as well...I was thinking, no work today? No no...I must fight for the hours, I haven't get 30 hours this week, how can I take a day off today?

I went to talk to the HR and forced her to find us something to do. It's her fault that she didn't inform us about the park closed anyway. She received many calls too, which complain about not informing them and they had to come all the way from their home which is very far away. Then, my HR Ms Raeann said to herself: "This is the worst day of my life". Haha... People here can't even take a little stress.

She then asked another supervisor whether there is something that can make me & Abigail to get busy for at least 4 hours. Eventually, they got us something to do.

Which means, I don't work at BEER GARDEN today. Instead, I worked at this place:

I'm grateful for being able to work for another day today. See how hardworking I am?

So, I walked to the BACKSTAGE this morning and met Fay. We did the inventory thoroughly and Fay said she hated it so much! I was laughing all the way and I took some of her picture from the back while we were working. She didn't know! Muahahaha...

So freaking cold inside the cooler..
Lunch with my supervisors, Fay & Penny (They are both mother & daughter). Penny was saying she's gonna kick Fay's ass, which is something that we don't see it happened in Malaysia.

Had too much sugar today, oops..I forgot to take some sugar for the NESCAFE I bought from Wal*Mart last night.

As for now, I'm doing some research about GLEN FALLS. Yup, might be going there tomorrow, but definitely I won't go to SARATOGA. I know SARATOGA sounds cool, but what's the point? I don't like horse racing. I don't like horsies, please. I wanna try the Chinese buffet tomorrow if I don't go to GLEN FALLS! Yay!

Came back and took a rest. Then, walked to Wal*Mart to get some groceries and I had Big Mac for dinner. Spent a lot of $$ again this time. Hopefully the food & snacks can last for at least 2 weeks. Gotta zzz now, night everyone!
